How to get Ender Chest in Minecraft
The only way to get an Ender chest is by crafting it. It does not generate naturally in the world. The crafting recipe is very expensive and requires materials from the End. You will need eight obsidian blocks and one Eye of Ender. To get obsidian, you need to mine it with a diamond or netherite pickaxe. To get an Eye of Ender, you need to craft one from an ender pearl (dropped by Endermen) and blaze powder (from blaze rods). Once you have your materials, open a crafting table. Arrange the eight obsidian blocks in a square around the outside of the grid, leaving the center empty. Then, place the single Eye of Ender in the very center slot. This will create one Ender chest.
How to use Ender Chest in Minecraft
To use an Ender chest, place it down and right click it to open its 27 slot inventory. Any items you place inside are linked to you, not the chest itself. You can then travel anywhere, place another Ender chest, and access those same items. This is perfect for keeping a backup set of diamond gear, your stack of elytras, or other valuable items safe. If you die, your Ender chest items will not be dropped. You can just craft or find another Ender chest to get them back. You must mine an Ender chest with a pickaxe to pick it up. If you break it without a pickaxe, it will drop eight obsidian. If you do not have Silk Touch, it will drop the obsidian and the contents will be lost, so be careful.
