Description
The light weighted pressure plate is a copper colored pressure plate that responds to items and entities. It is often called the gold pressure plate in game chatter. It outputs a redstone signal whose strength depends on the number of items on top of it when used in the item sensitive mode. It can also detect players and mobs like other pressure plates. It is thin and sits flush with the ground so it is good for hidden triggers and entryways. Because it responds to weight in a scaled way it is useful when you want a signal that gets stronger as more items are added. It works well with item sorting, traps and door systems where you want a graduated signal rather than a simple on off. Players often use it in combination with comparators to count items or to create basic item sensors. It does not block movement and it can be destroyed by explosions more easily than solid blocks.
