Description

Cocoa is a small plant like block that grows on the sides of jungle logs and produces cocoa beans which are useful as a crafting ingredient and as a decorative food resource. The plant has a distinct pod shape that changes color as it matures and it brings life and agricultural interest to jungle biomes and to player planted plantations. Farmers and builders use cocoa to create realistic plantations and to craft chocolate themed markets and kitchens in their builds. Cocoa beans are important because they are used to craft dye and various food items in some gameplay systems and because they are relatively simple to farm once you have access to jungle wood. The plant grows in stages from tiny pods to full maturity and can be harvested repeatedly when replanted on log sides and when light and space conditions allow. Cocoa is also a popular item in role play servers and in decorative builds because pod clusters add small points of colour to walls and tree trunks. The crop is easy to harvest by hand and can be replanted immediately which makes it a practical early game resource in worlds that include jungle biomes.

What is Cocoa?

Cocoa is a growable crop that attaches to jungle log faces and matures through distinct pod stages to produce cocoa beans. It acts as both a decorative plant and as a renewable resource for dyes and for food recipe ingredients in many builds and gameplay scenarios.

Where to find Cocoa

Cocoa plants are found naturally in jungle biomes growing on the trunks of jungle trees and in jungle edge areas where tree density is high. You will also encounter cocoa in some jungle related structures and in player gardens and plantations where it is used for decorative and farming purposes. Explore jungle areas and inspect tree trunks for the small pods to collect cocoa beans.

How to get Cocoa

Harvest cocoa pods by punching or breaking the pod when mature and collect the cocoa beans that drop. Replant the beans immediately on jungle log faces to start a new growth cycle. In creative mode take cocoa pods from the inventory for fast decorative placement and farm expansion.
