How to get Stonecutter in Minecraft
There are two main ways to get a stonecutter. The first way is to find one. Stonecutters generate naturally in some villages, inside the houses of mason villagers. You can simply break the stonecutter with a pickaxe to collect it. The second, and more common way, is to craft it. The crafting recipe is very simple. You will need three stone blocks and one iron ingot. To get stone, you need to smelt cobblestone in a furnace. To get an iron ingot, you need to smelt iron ore. Once you have your materials, open a crafting table. Place the three stone blocks in a horizontal row along the bottom, and place the single iron ingot in the center slot. This will create one stonecutter.

The main use for a stonecutter is to craft stone blocks efficiently. To use it, just right click on it to open its interface. You will see two slots. Place a single block of any stone type (like cobblestone, stone bricks, or sandstone) in the left slot. The right side of the screen will then show you all the possible blocks you can craft from it, like stairs, slabs, and walls. Just click on the one you want to make.
