Description
Mycelium is a soil like block with a faint purple gray tone that supports unique mushroom growth and gives the mycelium biome its special look. Grass will not spread to mycelium and certain mushrooms and fungi thrive on it which makes it valuable for players who want to design mushroom farms or to keep mushroom growth contained. Mycelium allows mushrooms to grow in higher light levels than normal which means the area around it looks perpetually fungal and mysterious. The block is slightly softer feeling than regular stone and it adds an alien or enchanted touch to interiors and exteriors when used in builds. Because it supports mushroom propagation it is useful for players who need long term mushroom supplies and it is commonly used in mob proof farms because some hostile mobs do not spawn on mushrooms.
