For builders, miners, and explorers, the shulker shell is the key to carrying everything you need without constantly running back to your base. How to get Shulker Shell in Minecraft
The only way to get a shulker shell is by defeating a shulker. Shulkers are the box shaped, purple creatures that are only found in End cities. To get there, you first need to defeat the Ender Dragon. After the fight, a special portal will appear that lets you travel to the outer islands of the End, where End cities are located. Shulkers hide on the walls of these cities and look like purple blocks. When you get close, they open up and shoot projectiles that make you float into the air. You have to defeat the shulker, and it has a fifty percent chance of dropping one shulker shell. To get more, you can use a sword with the Looting enchantment. A sword with Looting III will increase the drop chance to a much better seventy five percent. Since you need two shells for each shulker box, using a Looting sword is a very good idea.

The main and most important use for a shulker shell is to craft a shulker box. To do this, you will need two shulker shells and one chest. Go to a crafting table and place the chest in the very center slot. Then, place one shulker shell in the slot directly above the chest, and the other shulker shell in the slot directly below it. This will create your shulker box. You can then place the shulker box down, fill it with items, and break it to carry it in your inventory. You can also dye shulker boxes different colors to help you organize your storage. Just place a shulker box and a piece of dye in a crafting grid. This is great for color coding your boxes for different materials like stone, wood, or valuables.
