What is Golden Leggings in Minecraft?

On a crafting table, place the seven gold ingots in an upside down U shape, filling the top row and the left and right columns. You can also find golden leggings as loot. They have a chance to appear in chests inside ruined portals and bastion remnants. Sometimes, zombies and skeletons will spawn wearing golden leggings, and they might drop them when you defeat them. Using a sword with the Looting enchantment will increase the chance of this happening. Piglins can also spawn wearing them.

The most important way to use golden leggings is to wear them when you are in the Nether. This will prevent piglins from attacking you on sight, allowing you to walk near them and trade with them peacefully. As armor, they provide a moderate amount of protection but will not last long.
