Description
Blackstone is a dark volcanic stone found in the nether that gives a rugged industrial look and is useful for both decoration and construction. What is Blackstone?
Blackstone is a dark stone block that comes from nether biomes and that can be used in many building recipes. It is similar to cobblestone in function but is black and has its own polished and decorative forms for building with a nether appropriate style.
Where to find Blackstone
You find blackstone naturally in nether biomes such as nether_wastes and basalt_deltas and in some generated nether structures. It is common in basalt deltas and can also appear in veins in nether wastes which makes it accessible once you travel to the nether and explore.
How to get Blackstone
Mine blackstone with a pickaxe in nether biomes to collect the blocks. In creative mode take blackstone from the inventory. In survival mode prepare for nether travel by bringing food and supplies then mine blackstone where it appears in cliffs and veins. You can then craft polished blackstone slabs stairs and walls from the raw blocks.
