Description

Magma block is a glowing volcanic like block that produces light and has a distinctive heat themed texture. It is used by players to build traps, to create light sources and to add volcanic aesthetic touches to a build. The block damages mobs and players who stand on it which makes it useful for defensive traps and for automatic mob disposal systems. It can be found in certain nether and overworld locations which makes it a resource you can gather during exploration. Magma block emits a low level light which helps in dark areas and it interacts with water to create bubble column effects that are useful in elevators and item transport systems. The block is not immune to explosions but it has a decent blast resistance for its class. It is also used in creative map making to provide hazard areas where careless players lose health. Builders use magma block in themed areas like undersea ruins, volcanic caves and industrial zones where heat needs to be represented in the style of the build. It is often paired with basalt, blackstone and netherrack to create convincing volcanic scapes. Magma block is a multi use material that is both decorative and functional in redstone and transportation designs.
