Description

The note block is a small interactive musical block that plays a single musical tone when activated. Players use it to make simple tunes, to add sound cues in adventure maps and to build working musical instruments inside the game. Each note block can be tuned to different pitches by right clicking it and the pitch changes step by step which allows players to create melodies by placing many blocks together. The block reacts to redstone power so you can trigger it with buttons, pressure plates and redstone circuits which makes it useful for alarm systems and for decorative soundscapes around a base. Because note blocks keep their pitch until retuned they can be used as stable sound markers that help players navigate or that mark particular rooms. Many players like to combine note blocks with trapdoors and different instrument blocks under the note block to change the instrument sound which means ideas for music are only limited by patience and creativity. The note block is small and cheap to craft which makes it ideal for playful builds, interactive maps and for adding personality to a home.
