How to get Tinted Glass in Minecraft

To get glass, you need to smelt sand in a furnace. To get amethyst shards, you must first find an amethyst geode deep underground. Inside these geodes, you will find amethyst clusters growing. You can mine these clusters with a pickaxe to get amethyst shards. Once you have your materials, open a crafting table. Place the glass block in the center slot, and then place the four amethyst shards on the four sides of it, in a plus sign shape. This will create two blocks of tinted glass.
How to use Tinted Glass in Minecraft
The main use for tinted glass is to build structures that you can see out of, but that do not let any light in. This is incredibly useful for building mob farms. You can build the spawning platforms for your farm out of tinted glass, which will keep the inside dark enough for monsters to spawn, while allowing you to stand outside and watch. It is also great for building a secret, dark base or a spooky room in a haunted house. Another great feature is that you can break it with your hand or any tool and it will always drop itself, so you can easily move it and reuse it without needing a special enchanted tool.
