What Is Bell in Minecraft?

A Bell is a shiny golden block that hangs in the centre of villages. Ringing it sends all nearby villagers running to their beds for safety - and if there is a raid happening, it makes all nearby raid mobs glow so you can spot them through walls!

How Does Bell Work?

  • Right-click it to ring it - nearby villagers will run to their beds.
  • A Redstone signal will also ring it once.
  • Any projectile (arrow, trident, snowball) hitting it will ring it too.
  • When rung during a raid, all raid mobs within 48 blocks glow for 3 seconds.
  • Hardness 5 - a pickaxe breaks it fastest.
