This page explains what information EverythingMinecraft collects, why, and how it's used.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you register.
- Server submissions: anything you submit for a server listing, including its name, description, address, and an optional banner image.
- Votes, reviews, and reports: when you vote for, review, or report a server, we store your account, the action taken, the date, and your IP address. The IP address is used only to prevent duplicate or automated voting and is not shown publicly.
- Technical data: basic request information (such as IP address and timestamp) is logged for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
How we use your information
- To operate your account and display your submitted servers.
- To enforce fair use of voting and reviews (one vote per person per day, one review per person).
- To send account-related email: verifying your address, password resets, and notices about your server submissions.
- To moderate content and investigate reports of abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your username and any content you choose to post publicly (server listings, reviews) are visible to other visitors.
Your choices
You can update your account details or delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your login credentials; content you've posted publicly (such as reviews) may remain as noted in our Terms of Service.
