The trunks of these giant fungi are made of blocks called crimson stems. You can chop these down with an axe, which is the fastest tool for the job. You can also find crimson hyphae, which is a version of the stem with bark on all six sides. Once you have collected some crimson stems or hyphae, simply place them into your inventory crafting grid or a crafting table. A single block of crimson stem or hyphae will give you four crimson planks. This is the same process as getting planks from any other type of wood log.

How to use Crimson Planks in Minecraft
