What is Warped Planks in Minecraft?

Warped planks are a type of wooden plank with a striking, bluish green color. They are made from the giant fungi that grow in the Nether's warped forest biome. The main purpose of warped planks is to be a primary building material, just like any other wood plank in the game. They are the basic ingredient for crafting a whole family of warped wood items, including stairs, slabs, fences, doors, and signs. Players use warped planks to build structures with a unique and vibrant look. Their bold color makes them perfect for fantasy builds, Nether bases, or any creation that needs to stand out. A special property of warped planks is that they are fire resistant, they will not burn up like Overworld wood.

How to get Warped Planks in Minecraft

The only way to get warped planks is by crafting them from warped stems or warped hyphae. You cannot find them naturally. To get the raw materials, you must travel to the Nether and find a warped forest biome. These forests are filled with giant blue "trees" which are actually huge fungi. The trunks of these giant fungi are made of blocks called warped stems. You can chop these down with an axe. You can also find warped hyphae, which is a version of the stem with bark on all six sides. Once you have collected some warped stems or hyphae, simply place them into your inventory crafting grid or a crafting table. A single block of warped stem or hyphae will give you four warped planks.

How to use Warped Planks in Minecraft

The main use for warped planks is for building and crafting. As a building block, their unique cyan color allows for some very creative designs. You can use them to build entire houses, create colorful floors and walls, or add accents to a build made from other materials. They look especially good when combined with blackstone or other dark blocks. As a crafting ingredient, warped planks are very versatile. You can use them to craft warped stairs and warped slabs for more detailed building. You can make warped fences and fence gates to create enclosures. You can also craft warped doors, trapdoors, signs, buttons, and pressure plates. Essentially, anything you can make with oak planks, you can also make with warped planks.
