A Brain Coral Block is a solid full-size block made of brain coral. It has a bumpy, brain-like pink surface and generates as part of coral reefs in warm ocean biomes.

How Does Brain Coral Block Work?

Must be kept in water to stay alive. Remove it from water and it turns into a grey Dead Brain Coral Block.
A Silk Touch pickaxe (or any Silk Touch tool) is needed to collect it alive - breaking without Silk Touch drops nothing.
It can be placed on any solid surface, but turns dead if exposed to air.
