What Is Carved Pumpkin in Minecraft?

A Carved Pumpkin is a pumpkin with a spooky face carved into it. It is made by using Shears on a Pumpkin block. It can be worn as a helmet, used to build Snow Golems and Iron Golems, or used as a decoration.

How Does Carved Pumpkin Work?

  • Use Shears on a placed Pumpkin to carve it (this also drops 4 Pumpkin Seeds).
  • Wear it as a helmet to look through a pumpkin-shaped overlay - but it also lets you look directly at Endermen without making them angry.
  • Place it on top of two Snow Blocks to build a Snow Golem.
  • Place it on top of an Iron Golem body (4 Iron Blocks in a T-shape) to bring it to life.
  • An axe breaks it fastest.

Using Carved Pumpkin
