What Is Chain Command Block in Minecraft?

A Chain Command Block is a teal-coloured version of the Command Block. It runs a command only when the command block feeding into it (from behind) has already run its command successfully in the same tick.

How Does Chain Command Block Work?

  • It must be powered by another command block pointing into it. It will not run on its own.
  • Chain Command Blocks run in sequence after an Impulse or Repeat Command Block triggers the chain.
  • Like all command blocks, it can only be obtained and used in Creative mode or by server operators.
  • It cannot be broken in Survival mode - it has very high blast resistance.
