What Is Damaged Anvil in Minecraft?

Damaged Anvil is the second stage of Anvil wear, between Anvil and Chipped Anvil. It works the same as a regular Anvil for repairing and renaming items and combining enchantments, but it is one step away from breaking entirely.

How Does Damaged Anvil Work?

  • A pickaxe is required - breaking without one drops nothing.
  • Right-click to open the anvil interface for repairing and renaming items.
  • Has a chance to degrade by one stage each time it is used.
  • If it degrades once more it will be destroyed and disappear.
