What Is Fire Coral Block in Minecraft?

Fire Coral Block is a solid full-sized coral block that forms the base structure of warm ocean reefs. It has the vivid red colour of Fire Coral. Outside of water it dries out and turns into a Dead Fire Coral Block unless kept in contact with water.

How Does Fire Coral Block Work?

  • A pickaxe is required - breaking without one drops nothing.
  • Use Silk Touch to mine it and keep it alive.
  • Dies and turns into Dead Fire Coral Block if placed outside of water.
  • Keep in contact with a water block to stay alive and colourful.

  • Use any pickaxe with Silk Touch to get the alive block.
