What Is Mycelium in Minecraft?

Mycelium is a purple-grey block covered in fungal spores found only in mushroom fields biomes. It looks similar to Grass Block but has a speckled purple-grey surface. Mushrooms can grow on Mycelium at any light level, and it slowly spreads to adjacent Dirt blocks. It can only be collected with Silk Touch.
