What Is Structure Void in Minecraft?

Structure Void is an invisible technical block used inside structure templates saved with Structure Blocks. When a structure containing Structure Void is loaded, the blocks at those positions are not replaced - the existing world blocks stay there. This allows structures to be loaded without overwriting specific blocks.

How Does Structure Void Work?

  • Invisible and non-solid - no collision.
  • When placed inside a saved structure template, those positions are skipped when the structure is loaded.
  • Useful for creating structures that only partially overwrite the world.
