What Is Vault in Minecraft?

Vault is a unique loot-dispensing block found inside Trial Chambers. It can only be opened using a Trial Key obtained from defeating Trial Spawners. Each player can only receive loot from a Vault once - after that it stays locked for that player. This encourages groups to explore Trial Chambers together as each player gets their own loot.

How Does Vault Work?

  • Insert a Trial Key by right-clicking to unlock loot.
  • Each player can only receive loot once per Vault.
  • Ejects loot items out of its front face.
  • An Ominous Vault (golden) requires an Ominous Trial Key for better loot.
