Bat

What Is Bat in Minecraft?

Bats are small, harmless mobs that hang upside down in dark caves and fly around at night. They never attack and are mostly just fun to spot underground.

What Can Bats Do in Minecraft?

• Bats spend most of their time hanging upside down from the ceiling in dark caves, flying off if a player gets close.
• They flap around randomly, squeaking from time to time, and can even fly into Lava by accident.
• Bats never attack players or other mobs and never take damage from most other mobs either.
• They can't be bred, tamed, or ridden, and have no items you can use on them besides a Name Tag.

Where to Find Bats

• Look for them hanging from cave ceilings in dark, unlit areas while exploring underground.
• They don't drop anything and give no XP, so there's no real reason to hunt them, just enjoy spotting one.
