What Is Illusioner in Minecraft?

The Illusioner is a mysterious illager wizard that almost nobody ever sees in a normal game. It never spawns on its own, so the only way to meet one is with a special command.

What Can Illusioners Do in Minecraft?

• Shoots arrows almost 3 times faster than a Skeleton
• Can see and shoot through walls, which no other illager can do
• Casts a spell that blinds you for 20 seconds when it first spots you
• Turns itself invisible for a minute while fighting and makes 4 fake copies that move and shoot just like it
• Only the real Illusioner can be hit. When you do hit it, every copy snaps back to its real spot for a second, giving away where it is
• Cheers and jumps around if it wins a raid

How to Fight Illusioners

• Watch for the moment all the copies line up after a hit, that's the real one
• Try to close the distance fast since it keeps backing away while shooting
• A Shield can block its arrows while you get closer

How to Stay Safe from Illusioners

• You won't run into one by accident, it only appears through commands or data packs
• If you do spawn one, fight it in an open area so you're not trapped while it's invisible
