What Is Zombified Piglin in Minecraft?

The Zombified Piglin is a neutral mob that wanders the Nether with a Golden Sword. It ignores you completely until you attack one, and then every Zombified Piglin nearby comes to help.

What Can Zombified Piglins Do in Minecraft?

• Zombified Piglins leave players alone unless attacked, but hurting one calls every Zombified Piglin in a huge area into the fight.
• Most spawn holding a Golden Sword, and some of those are enchanted, which can make a mob fight much tougher than it looks.
• They're completely immune to fire and lava, so you can't use either to fight them safely.
• A Pig struck by lightning in the Overworld turns into a Zombified Piglin, and a Piglin left too long outside the Nether converts into one as well.
• On Hard difficulty, some can break down wooden and copper doors.

How to Fight Zombified Piglins

• Avoid hitting one unless you're ready for a fight. Once angered, nearby Zombified Piglins join in even if you only hit one of them.
• Fighting in the open gives you room to retreat if a whole group turns hostile at once.
• Watch for enchanted Golden Swords. An enchanted one can deal a lot more damage than the base amount.

How to Stay Safe from Zombified Piglins

• Zombified Piglins ignore you unless you attack one of them.
• If you hit one and it survives, every Zombified Piglin nearby turns hostile and attacks you.
• They stay angry while they can see you, so get out of sight to let them calm down.
• Be careful with swords and arrows in the Nether, because hitting one by accident starts a fight with the whole group.
