To do this, you will need three gray wool blocks and three wooden planks of any type. To get gray wool, you can find and shear a gray sheep, or you can dye white wool using gray dye. You can make gray dye by combining black dye and white dye. Once you have the materials, go to a crafting table. Place the three wooden planks in a horizontal row along the bottom, and place the three gray wool blocks in a horizontal row right above them. This will create one gray bed. The second way is to take an existing bed of any other color and dye it. Simply place the bed and one piece of gray dye in a crafting grid, and it will turn into a gray bed.

The main use for a gray bed is to sleep and set your spawn point. To use it, you just need to place it down. A bed takes up two blocks of space, so make sure you have enough room. You can only sleep in a bed at nighttime or during a thunderstorm. Just right click on the bed to lie down. The screen will fade to black and you will wake up in the morning. This also sets your respawn point. Be very careful: you cannot use a bed in the Nether or the End. If you try to right click a bed in those dimensions, it will explode violently, which will almost certainly kill you and destroy the surrounding blocks.
