What Is Birch Button in Minecraft?

A Birch Button is a tiny pale-coloured switch that sticks to a wall or surface. Press it and it sends out a short burst of Redstone power - perfect for opening doors, triggering traps or activating dispensers.

How Does Birch Button Work?

  • Right-click it to press it - it sends a Redstone signal for 1.5 seconds (15 redstone ticks), then pops back out.
  • An arrow or thrown trident hitting the button also activates it - the signal lasts until the arrow despawns (about 1 minute) or is picked up.
  • Wind Charges can also activate it.
  • It can be placed on any solid surface - walls, floors and ceilings.
