What Is Black Concrete Powder in Minecraft?

Black Concrete Powder is the raw form of Black Concrete. On its own it falls like sand - but the moment it touches water, it instantly solidifies into a smooth Black Concrete block.

How Does Black Concrete Powder Work?

  • It is affected by gravity - it falls if there is nothing supporting it below.
  • Place it next to or into water and it instantly turns into Black Concrete.
  • Rain and splash water bottles do NOT convert it - only contact with a water block or flowing water works.
  • It does not convert while falling through water; it must land next to a water block and receive a block update.
  • A shovel breaks it fastest.
