What Is Conduit in Minecraft?

Conduit is a powerful block that, when activated, grants the Conduit Power status effect to nearby players underwater. The effect gives Water Breathing, Night Vision underwater and Haste underwater all at once. It also damages nearby hostile mobs in water.

How Does Conduit Work?

  • Must be surrounded by a frame of Prismarine, Dark Prismarine, Prismarine Bricks or Sea Lanterns to activate.
  • Needs at least 16 blocks in the frame to activate, up to 42 for maximum range.
  • When active, the range extends up to 96 blocks with a full 42-block frame.
  • Damages nearby hostile mobs in water or rain within 8 blocks.
