What Is Crafter in Minecraft?

Crafter is a block that automatically crafts items when powered by a redstone signal. It has a 3x3 crafting grid like a Crafting Table but items are placed inside it through hoppers and dispensers, and crafting is triggered by redstone.

How Does Crafter Work?

  • A pickaxe is required - breaking without one drops nothing.
  • Fill the 3x3 internal grid with items matching a recipe.
  • Power with a redstone pulse to craft one item and output it from the front face.
  • Connects with hoppers and droppers to automate full crafting chains.
  • Individual slots can be locked to prevent hoppers filling them.
