What Is Dried Ghast in Minecraft?

Dried Ghast is a block dropped by Ghasts in the Nether. It looks like a dried-out ghast, all pale and shrunken. When you bring it to the Overworld and pour water on it, it slowly rehydrates and hatches into a Happy Ghast - a friendly tameable flying mob.

How Does Dried Ghast Work?

  • Break to collect - no special tool needed.
  • Place it in the Overworld and use a Water Bucket on it to begin rehydration.
  • It goes through three wet stages before hatching into a Ghastling.
  • The Ghastling grows into a Happy Ghast which can be tamed and ridden.

Using Dried Ghast
