What Is End Rod in Minecraft?

End Rod is a slim, glowing decorative light source found in End Cities and on End Ships. It emits a white light at level 14, just below the maximum. It can be placed on any surface including ceilings, floors and walls, and can even be placed on top of other End Rods to create tall lamp posts.

How Does End Rod Work?

  • Breaks instantly with any tool or by hand.
  • Can be placed on all six surfaces of a block.
  • Emits light level 14 - bright enough to prevent mob spawning.
