What Is Observer in Minecraft?

Observer is a Redstone component that detects when the block directly in front of its face changes state - such as a crop growing, a door opening, or a block being placed or broken. When it detects a change, it sends a brief Redstone pulse out of its back. It has a face on the front and outputs from the back.
