What Is Slime Block in Minecraft?

Slime Block is a squishy green transparent block crafted from Slimeballs. It bounces players and mobs, cancelling fall damage. It also sticks to adjacent blocks and moves them when pushed by a piston, making it useful in complex redstone machines.

How Does Slime Block Work?

  • Bounces entities - landing on it cancels fall damage and launches you up.
  • Sticks to most adjacent blocks and drags them when pushed by a piston.
  • Does not stick to Honey Blocks, Glazed Terracotta or Obsidian.
