What Is Sponge in Minecraft?

Sponge is a yellow porous block that absorbs water within a 7-block radius when placed. After absorbing water it becomes a Wet Sponge, which must be dried in a furnace to be used again. Sponges are found inside Ocean Monuments and are useful for draining flooded areas.

How Does Sponge Work?
