What Is Sticky Piston in Minecraft?

Sticky Piston is an advanced version of the regular Piston. When powered by redstone it extends its arm to push blocks forward, and when the signal stops it retracts and pulls the attached block back. This makes it perfect for moving blocks back and forth in redstone contraptions.

How Does Sticky Piston Work?

  • Extends when powered by a redstone signal.
  • Retracts and pulls the block on its face when the signal stops.
  • Can push up to 12 blocks in a chain.
  • Cannot pull blocks that are immovable such as Obsidian or other pistons that are extended.
