What Is Target in Minecraft?

Target is a Redstone component block with a bullseye pattern. When hit by a projectile such as an Arrow, Snowball or Trident it emits a Redstone signal. The strength of the signal depends on how close to the centre the projectile hits. A direct bullseye gives the maximum signal of 15. It is useful for Redstone puzzle and minigame builds.

How Does Target Work?

  • Hit with a projectile to emit a Redstone signal (1-15 depending on accuracy).
  • A bullseye hit gives a signal strength of 15.
  • The signal only lasts briefly before turning off.
