What Is Black Stained Glass in Minecraft?

Black Stained Glass is a very dark, nearly opaque transparent block that lets through only a tiny amount of light. It is made by combining Glass with Black Dye at a Crafting Table.

How Does Black Stained Glass Work?

It is transparent - light passes through it, but barely.
If you break it without a Silk Touch enchantment, it shatters and drops nothing.
Place it in the path of a Beacon beam to change the beam's colour to black (or mix colours with other stained glass).
It does not connect to glass panes the way Glass Pane does - it is a full solid block.
