What Is Black Terracotta in Minecraft?

Black Terracotta is a smooth, very dark block with a slightly rough texture. It is made at a Crafting Table by combining regular Terracotta with Black Dye. It is one of the darkest decorative blocks in the game.

How Does Black Terracotta Work?

A pickaxe is required to mine it - breaking it without a pickaxe drops nothing.
Not flammable - fire cannot spread from it.
Smelt it in a Furnace to make Black Glazed Terracotta, which has a shiny patterned surface.
