What Is Trapped Chest in Minecraft?

Trapped Chest looks almost identical to a regular Chest but has a red latch and emits a Redstone signal whenever it is opened. The signal strength increases with the number of players currently opening it (max 15). It can be used to create traps or Redstone circuits that trigger when someone opens the chest. It stores 27 item slots just like a normal Chest.

How Does Trapped Chest Work?

• Emits a Redstone signal when opened. Signal strength equals the number of players opening it.
• Looks similar to a regular Chest with a slight red tint on the latch.
• Can be paired with another Trapped Chest to form a Large Trapped Chest.
• Wire to Redstone to trigger doors, pistons or dispensers when opened.
