What Is Furnace in Minecraft?

Furnace is one of the most important blocks in the game. It uses fuel to smelt ores, cook food and craft materials like Bricks and Glass. It has a 3-slot interface: one for the item to smelt, one for fuel, and one for the output.

How Does Furnace Work?

A pickaxe is required - breaking without one drops nothing.
Right-click to open its interface. Add fuel to the bottom slot and items in the top slot.
Burns coal, wood, charcoal, lava buckets and many other fuel sources.
Also acts as a job site block for the Armorer Villager profession.
