What Is Cut Copper in Minecraft?

Cut Copper is a copper block with a smooth, regular cut pattern across its face. Like all copper blocks, it oxidises over time from orange-brown to teal green and can be waxed to stop the colour change.

How Does Cut Copper Work?

  • Requires a stone pickaxe or better to mine. A wooden pickaxe drops nothing.
  • Oxidises over time: Copper - Exposed - Weathered - Oxidised.
  • Wax with Honeycomb to lock its current oxidisation stage.
  • Use an axe to scrape off one oxidisation stage.
