What Is Chiseled Copper in Minecraft?

Chiseled Copper is a decorative carved version of Copper Block with an ornate chiselled pattern. Like all copper blocks, it slowly oxidises from orange through to teal over time unless waxed.

How Does Chiseled Copper Work?

  • It oxidises through four stages: Copper (orange), Exposed Copper (light orange), Weathered Copper (green-orange) and Oxidised Copper (teal).
  • Right-click with Honeycomb to wax it and stop oxidisation at its current stage.
  • Use an Axe on a waxed block to de-wax it, or to scrape away one oxidisation stage.
  • Lightning striking it removes all oxidisation instantly.
  • A stone pickaxe or better is required - breaking with a wooden pickaxe drops nothing.
