What Is Spruce Slab in Minecraft?

Spruce Slab is a half-height version of the Spruce Plank block. It can be placed on the top or bottom half of a block space. Two Spruce Slabs stacked in the same block space form a full Spruce Plank block. Slabs are popular for adding detail, gradual steps and decorative roofing.

How Does Spruce Slab Work?

Place on the bottom or top half of a space by clicking the lower or upper part of a block.
Two slabs in the same space merge into a full block.
Mobs do not spawn on slabs placed in the lower half of a block space.
