What Is the Dark Forest Biome?
The Dark Forest is a thick, shadowy woodland made of tall dark oak trees. The canopy is so dense it blocks out most of the sunlight, so it stays dim even in the middle of the day.
What You'll Find
- Dark oak trees growing close together, blocking much of the sky
- Giant mushrooms rising above the leaf litter covered ground
- Rose bushes, peonies, lilacs, and lily of the valley flowers
- Woodland Mansions, a rare structure found only in and near this biome
Staying Safe
- The dense canopy keeps it dark even during the day, so mobs can spawn at almost any time
- Woodland Mansions are guarded by evokers and vindicators, which are dangerous even for well-equipped players
