What Is the Badlands Biome?
The Badlands is a dry, mountainous biome made of striped terracotta in red, orange, yellow, and white. It never rains here, and the ground is covered in red sand instead of grass.
What You'll Find
- Tall mounds of colorful terracotta layered on top of each other
- Cacti growing in red sand valleys, sometimes with cactus flowers
- Extra gold ore, which is far more common here than anywhere else
- Badlands Mineshafts, which can be exposed to open air high above the ground
Staying Safe
- Cacti deal damage if you walk or fall into them
- Mineshafts here can be high up, so watch out for long falls
- There is little shade, so bring water or food for the trip
